Charleston, SC! Hannah grew up there, Tripp grew up about 90 miles up the coast in Pawley's Island. Known for a rich history, exquisitely preserved architecture, stellar restaurants and a vibrant arts scene, Charleston continually tops numerous travel and lifestyle lists, including a 2012 designation of "Top Destination in the US" by Conde Nast. If you're going to hang around for a few days, be sure not to miss...
Downtown: There is no need to have a car downtown, everything is pretty much walking distance. Check out The Battery and White Point Gardens, Houses of the French Quarter, Fort Sumter, The Market. Walking or carriage tours highly recommended, check reviews on TripAdvisor for the best ones. If you want to get off the peninsula, our favorite places are Charlestowne Landing (original 1670 settlement site and nature preserve) and Folly Beach (the least developed and most laissez-faire of the beaches around Charleston).
Ceremony

Speaking of interesting architecture, St Luke's Chapel was originally built as part of a federal arsenal in 1832, and served as an orphanage after the civil war, then as a boys military academy. Its been destroyed by wars and hurricanes a bunch of times (like a lot of Charleston), so its current form is the product of multiple rebuilds. It is located on the campus of the Medical University of South Carolina, at the corner of Bee St and Ashley Ave. The ceremony will begin at 5 PM.
Reception
And speaking of rich history, The Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon was built by the British in 1767. It was the city of Charlestowne's choice of venue to host President George Washington during his post-American Revolution tour and since then, has served as a custom house, merchant market, military barracks, brothel and prison. There is a real dungeon, so behave. The reception will begin at 6:30 PM.
